Randall's Island Urban Farm

Groups will learn about the production, preparation, and consumption of healthy, well-grown food. Programs for K-12 include a tour with a hands-on gardening activity, such as planting, harvesting, or mulching. Groups will take a tasting walk around the farm and sample some of the freshly grown herbs and vegetables. They’ll even get to meet, hold, and feed the chickens. The program culminates with making a basic meal—such as a salad—and eating it for lunch in the picnic area nearby. Self-guided tours at the farm welcome all ages.
