Carillon Cruises

The Carillon, a 1920s cruise boat replica, will take groups through the historic waters of Southern Lake Champlain. Students can imagine they are traveling along with Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys from Hand’s Cove to Willow Point. They can learn about the first American victory of the Revolutionary War as they pause offshore at Fort Ticonderoga, and sail past Mount Defiance, where Americans were quartered in the summer of 1776. They can view sonar images of the wrecks and artifacts below, some dating back to the 18th century. Both the Vermont and New York shores can be viewed. An abundance of wildlife can also be spotted on the tour. Call ahead for reservations.
