Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center

The Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center honors the memories of those who were lost by teaching universal lessons that combat hatred, prejudice and indifference. The Museum offers a variety of docent-led tour options for students in grades 3 through 12, colleges, and other groups. During one of the tours, students will explore the history of the Holocaust, learn about the power of one voice to take a stand for positive change, discover what it takes to care for yourself and others, and much more. The Museum also offers tours of the special exhibitions, as well as a walk through and discussion of the Museum’s contemplative spaces, symbolic architecture, and fine art gallery, which focuses on contemporary artistic responses to genocides and other atrocities.
