Alden Digital Planetarium

Your class trip will discover blazing stars in the far reaches of the universe when they visit the first digital planetarium in Massachusetts. Technology that uses images from NASA and the Hubble Space Telescope creates a three-dimensional solar system projected onto a 40-foot dome, accompanied by surround-sound technology. Shows include “Animals, Monsters and Heroes: Stories in the Stars,” which explores ancient constellation stories from faraway places, as well as “The Zula Patrol,” which takes young students on a ride with the Zula Patrol as they try to save the solar system’s weather from interplanetary villain Dark Truder. You can also book an overnight visit that includes a planetarium show, exploration of the EcoTarium exhibits, a hands-on activity of your choice, and sleeping among the exhibits or camping outdoors on the grounds.
