Piney Run Park

One of Carroll County’s oldest developed parks, Piney Run has a 300-acre lake that provides on-the-water recreational activities, such as fishing, boating, and boat rentals. Your class trip can enjoy canoeing, sail boating, row boating, kayaking, and electric-powered fishing boats on the lake. Teachers can rent a canoe, kayak, rowboat, as well as peddle boats, from a station in the Park. If some of your students prefer fishing, the lake is stocked with striped bass, tiger musky, trout and catfish. Fishing is permitted from boats or along the bank, but a fishing license is required.
